Hailing from Sheffield in Yorkshire, 5-piece indie rock band The Long Blondes release their debut full-length album 'Someone To Drive You Home'.

The Long Blondes consist of Kate Jackson (Vocals), Dorian Cox (Lead Guitar/Keyboards), Reenie Hollis (Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals), Emma Chaplin (Rhythm Guitar/ Keyboards) and Screech Louder (Drums).

'Someone To Drive You Home' was recorded with Steve Mackey (Pulp, MIA). The album reflects a number of influences including 60's pop, the Buzzcocks, The Ramones, Post-punk and New-wave. Their songs are filled with angular guitars, prominent bass lines, lyrical sharpness and Kate Jackson's enticing vocals, which have been compared to the likes of Deborah Harry of Blondie.

Early in 2006, The Long Blondes were the recipients of the NME Philip Hall Radar Award which honours rising talent - previously won by Franz Ferdinand and the Kaiser Chiefs.
