Entering their 10th year of existence, the Berlin-based group Jazzanova has already broadcasted through various ethers, whether it be their label Sonar Kollektiv, their highly acclaimed DJ sets or their radio show, which has been transmitted through the terrestrial radio waves for the past 5 years, on Berlin's Radio Multi Kulti.

There are enough reasons to celebrate all of these milestones with a compilation that combines highlights from the most recent label back catalogue with exclusives from long time Sonar Kollektiv affiliates, rookies and brand new talents. So here we are with Jazzanova's 'Broad Casting', a top notch celebration of their label, radio show and production team.

The number of so-called "freestyle" CD mixes currently floating around the market seems endless, but there aren't many music lovers around the world with a greater access or commitment to find new rhythms and sounds than Jazzanova.

Highlights of the compile include 'Sun Of A Beach' from London's Pharoah Roche, who are both obviously influenced by the West London broken beat sound; the previously unreleased reggae version of Berlin-based DJ lady Eva Be's 'No Memory Of Time', featuring Fat Freddy's Drop singer Joe Dukie; Slope and Trickski team up with Jazzanova to produce the track 'Beatzeps' under the Jaslopski moniker; a twisted downbeat stomper from Arken called 'Step Off'; and stone cold future classics from the likes of Wahoo, SoulPhiction, Ame, Capitol A, Slope, Clara Hill and Atjazz, Agora Rhythm and Jazzanova themselves, alongside remixes from the likes of Mr Scruff, Charles Webster and Trickski, as well as the longtime Jazzanova favourite 'Just A Lil' Lovin', from uber-underground hipsters Outlines.
