Sydney producer Rephrase aka Jaime Olsen is back with his second album 'Little Victories', a sophisticated modern dance album that thrusts the young producer into the international spotlight.

"We love 'Little Victories', it's outstanding. Sure it will give us a lot of inspiration for our new album!”
- Mo Horizons

"You can file this at the smarter end of the funky break genre. But why file it when it should be out-sizzling the steaks at this late-summer's best bbqs!”
- Bartender

"Take a splash of jazz, funk, hip hop and house all fused together and you have 'Little Victories'. Rephrase hits all the right notes and comes up on top with an album for every mood.”
- All Good Funk Alliance

Sydney producer Rephrase aka Jaime Olsen is back with his second album 'Little Victories', a remarkable Nu Funk outing that thrusts the young producer into the international spotlight of the Funk Breaks scene.

Since his debut 'Beatcoaster', Rephrase has produced music for Aus' football World Cup coverage and had remixes released by Flevans and Parov Stelar to rave reviews and club support from the likes of Mo Horizons, Ed Royal and Kraak and Smaak.

Opening with an old skool homage to breakdancing in Ghana and moving through a rollercoaster ride of funky styles, 'Little Victories' embraces bluesy breaks, slamming big band breaks, slinky house, fierce Afro broken beat and downright slinky groovers. Rephrase calls on a cast from around the world to add their vocals to his excellent new album, including J Sands of Lone Catalysts, Vandal, Negus Shabaka, Merenia, Rick Robertson [ex-DIG], Jimi Polar and Noel Boogie.

There are standout tracks aplenty though, including singles 'Boulevard', 'Good Feelin' and current George FM favourite 'Since 1939', all of which have spent time among the station's Top 10 chart, while new rising indie label Knowfoowl's good friends in Washington DC, All Good Funk Alliance, [who have a long history of releasing artists like Rephrase and Flow Dynamics on their Funk Weapons label] contribute a remix as a bonus to the NZ and Aus release of 'Little Victories'.

Developed over a year and a half, 'Little Victories' is an accomplished dance album which delivers classic grooves in all styles. Big things abound for this super versatile producer, as Jaime Olsen has always impressed fans with his bright and catchy grooves.
