Joining Van Dijk on this album are fellow greats of NZ jazz - Roger Sellers (drums), Paul Dyne (bass) and Hannah Griffin (vocals). This is very cool jazz, with an almost hypnotic forward momentum, indicative of the crashing NZ ocean.
Derived over the last ten years - during which Nick van Dijk has become increasingly fascinated with the dimension that lyrics and layers of harmony can lend to a song - the compositions on this CD are inspired from the seas and beaches of New Zealand.
