Studio's first two limited vinyl releases in 2006 sold out within weeks of release being available in only 4 shops! This is the first time any of these tracks have been available on CD outside Scandinavia. The release in that territory, called 'Yearbook 1', has created a big demand all over Europe, US and Japan.
Studio's music has a broad appeal. "Serious” music enthusiasts will recognise the depth of the music and connections to kraut-rock artists like Can and Neu, classic indie rock artists like The Cure and The Smiths and many shades of dance music like old school house, dub and disco. Fans of the current new-wave / alt.disko sound (eg. Bloc Party, Hot Chip) will appreciate its pop-sensibility.
