Uncle Lou's second solo album, took him from cult hero of The Velvet Underground to international superstar status.

'Transformer', Lou Reed's second solo album, took him from cult hero of The Velvet Underground to international superstar status.

It is one of Uncle Lou's early walks on the wild side. 'Transformer' is all about personal as well as sexual liberation. We have the strange powers of "Vicious", the oddness of "Andy's Chest", and the off beat liberations of "Walk on the Wild Side". "Satellite of Love" and "Perfect Day" have become two of Lou's top fan favourites.

Produced by David "Boom Boom" Bowie and Mick "Ronno" Ronson, many would argue that 'Transformer' is one of his best works, and rightly so. 'Transformer' perfectly captured the spirit of the early 1970s, and it is easy to hear why it is still considered a truly Classic Album today.
