Influenced by Dylan, Tom Waits and Mazzy Star, alternative folk artist Krista Polvere headed for New York City in 2007 to chase her muse - in fact, one of the first people her music caught the attention of was none other than Ryan Adams. Krista met him at one of his shows and having already heard her demos, suggested they might work together. They've since gone on to write "Let's Go", which is the lead track here on her debut album, 'Here Be Dragons'.
In addition to this hook up with Adams, Krista has also worked with Adam and Grasshopper from Mercury Rev, US muso Ray La Montagne and none other than Ron Sexsmith.
Producing 'Here Be Dragons' is Grammy Award winning producer, engineer and mixer Malcolm Burn, who has produced albums for Emmylou Harris, Chris Whitley and Patti Smith, and engineered and mixed Bob Dylan's Oh Mercy.
