Critically acclaimed jazz & soul inspired singer / songwriter Amos Lee returns with his third album. Lee first came to the world's attention with a gig supporting Norah Jones on her 2004 European tour, and his 2005 self titled debut album released on the legendary Blue Note label.

Three years later and his third release shows an Amos who has grown into his skin; perfecting his laid-back soul ballads ("Baby I Want You", "Better Days"), and at times adding some more grit ("Street Corner Preacher" is a rootsy Ben Harper-esque track), or groove ("Truth" is reminiscent of Bill Withers), and even just a little more rock n roll ("Listen", with it's gospel inspired phrasing, builds to an impressive guitar break).

Although his myspace page quotes "something like the sun, but mostly like the moon" as his influences, Lee's love for mid seventies singer-songwriters is obvious, his relaxed, soulful style and inherent sense of hope perhaps the result of his admiration for this period; "My favourite time in music is probably 1970-75. 'Still Bill' by Bill Withers, 'Harvest' by Neil Young, John Prine's first album, James Taylor's 'One Man Dog' - I hope I can bring the same sort of spirit I hear on those records."

'Last Days at the Lodge' features Lee on guitars, Doyle Bramhall, Jr (Eric Clapton) on guitar, Spooner Oldham (Neil Young, Aretha Franklin) on keys, Pino Palladino (The Who, D'Angelo) on bass and James Gadson (Bill Withers) on drums.
