Siren Junkies is an Auckland based 4-piece band playing their own original rock/pop music style, and was formed in February 2004. Their music has been described as melodic, dynamic and edgy

and they have played with some of New Zealand's big acts, such as Goodshirt, Goldenhorse, Anika Moa, Breaks Co-Op and The Rabble.

Siren Junkies was selected to play at NXNE, which is Canada's largest and most prestigious music festival in Toronto in June 2006. It was the only New Zealand act playing at this festival. Leading Canadian Music Source, Chart Attack was quoted as saying "A whole lot of attitude and a good amount of sex appeal from lead singer Nikki Hartnett-Clarke bodes well down the road for the Siren Junkies. It's this combination of look and attitude that could take them a ways."

The debut album 'Fascinate' took four years to come together. A lot can happen in four years and the album reflects stuff the band went through during this period: reflection on love, grief from the loss of suicide and a whole lot of the bristling energy that comes from expressing oneself musically and sweating it out at live shows.

There's no doubt lead singer Nikki Hartnett-Clarke is prominent in defining the sound and the music has been crafted to fit snugly around her. The song writing process goes deep into the use of complex vocal and instrumental harmonies, particularly on songs like "Try To Like You" and "Fascinate", but always underpinned by strong and prominent melodies.
