After leaving cult Kiwi band The Human Instinct after three studio albums, Billy T.K formed Powerhouse - a driving jazz/funk outfit - in the early 1970s.

Billy T.K (Billy Te Kahika) is one of New Zealand's best 'Guitar Hero' & a local legend. After leaving cult Kiwi band The Human Instinct after three studio albums, Billy T.K formed Powerhouse - a driving jazz/funk outfit - in the early 1970s. They played up and down the country including the 1973 Ngaruawahia Festival straight after Black Sabbath, but no records were released at the time.

Now, 37 years on, one can finally judge the musicianship of the band on tape. 'Move On Up' contains a full unreleased album recorded in 1972 with famed producer Mike LePetit at the HMV studios in Wellington as well as a rare 1980 single and three live tracks.
