"This is the latest fruit of a remarkable collaboration between sound recordist Martin Craddick, his singer wife Su Hart, and the Baka pygmies of Cameroon.
Setting up a studio in the jungle, they have recorded the songs which are part of the pygmies' daily routine: in this case the women's yodelling, designed to bring good fortune in the hunt. Back home, they have deconstructed the results, and given some of the vocal lines to bass and guitar. The result has more than a touch of reggae."
