Pekko Lehti and Markku Lepistö use the unusual, open-ended duo format of double bass and button accordion to explore Finnish music, folk, jazz and of course...tango.
Bassist Lehti played funk, pop, rock and soul then joined with Finnish group Värttinä. He then started studying double bass and classical music. Markku comes from a traditional background, starting out playing accordion with the older guys in his village and also played with Värttinä for many years. Markku and Pekko have been playing together since 2003 and 'Helsinki' is their debut CD .
