Le Clan des Miros

French singer / songwriter Renan Luce was born in Paris in 1980. He spent his childhood and teenage years in Bretagne, learning to play piano, then saxophone and finally guitar, and writing a first couple of songs. His songs are inspired by the 20th century singer / songwriter Georges Brassens and depict everyday life with a dose of humour and poetry. He moved to Paris in the early 00's and began playing regularly, eventually catching attention of Universal Publishing's Olivier Lefebvre. He quickly obtained a regular opening act opportunity with Bénabar, whose songwriting recipe was actually lyrically quite close. Luce's work has earned him many awards and nominations. He received the Académie Charles-Cros price in 2007 and both 'Best breakthrough album' and 'Best breakthrough live act' Victoires de la musique in 2008.
