Imagine taking a slow stroll, or rocking on a porch swing, or sitting at the feet of your elders listening to stories. That is 'Booker's Guitar'. In an easy, gritty, timeless voice, 58-year-old Bibb tells stories that linger and hypnotize.

US-born, London-resident Eric Bibb is a legend in blues music and 'Booker's Guitar' is his 16th album.

The story behind the album is as legendary as Robert Johnson at the crossroads, as old as the blues itself... A few years ago, Bibb met a fan carrying a guitar case, inside which was a 1930s vintage Resophonic National steel-body guitar that had belonged to Delta blues legend Booker White. In an intoxicating moment, Bibb held the guitar and caught a brief, but revealing glimpse of all the stories locked within.

'Booker's Guitar' inspired a song and the song became an album - one that captures the spirit of the original Delta blues of the early 20th century and reinterprets it for a new era.

The title track of the album was performed and recorded by Eric Bibb using that very guitar of Booker White's.
