Soup

[ Stick Men / CD ]

Release Date: Tuesday 20 July 2010

Two years in the making - with the material broken in by extensive touring around the world - 'Soup' is Stick Men's first major release.

Stickists Tony Levin & Michael Bernier, along with drummer Pat Mastelotto (who together with Tony forms the rhythm section for the one & only King Crimson), are Stick Men, a band that's been performing together for several years, honing their material and enhancing the distinctive flavor of their music.

'Soup', their first major release, includes not only the unusual rap / rock title piece (about supercolliders!) but also a three part epic, "Hands", four movements from Stravinsky's "Firebird Suite" and much more.

Two years in the making - with the material broken in by extensive touring around the world - 'Soup' is Stick Men's first major release. It's jam-packed with extraordinary music from this most unique group of players.

The Band: Tony Levin - Chapman Stick & vocals; Michael Bernier - Chapman Stick & vocals; Pat Mastelotto - traps, buttons & vocals.

Mixes by Steven Wilson, Tony Lash and Larry DeVivo.
