'The Taking' is the third studio album from Duff McKagan's Loaded and the first to feature new drummer Isaac Carpenter. Duff is best known for his 13-year stint in Guns N' Roses, and as a member of supergroup Velvet Revolver, as well as recently briefly being in Jane's Addiction.
The album features the band's trademark dynamic hard rock sound. The songs were written over a period of time in late 2009 / early 2010 and the band went into the studio in August 2010 with renowned producer Terry Date (Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Pantera). The result is Loaded's most accomplished and most hard-hitting album to date.
