Zaine Griff (aka Glenn Mikkelson) was born and raised in Auckland, NZ, and was the bassist in one of the later versions of the seminal rock group The Human Instinct.
Zaine Griff (aka Glenn Mikkelson) was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, and was the bassist in one of the later versions of the seminal rock group The Human Instinct. He then moved to England in the 1970s, where he continued with his artistic and musical career, becoming a solo artist and a cult pop figure of the 80s. (He worked with Lindsay Kemp (at the same time as Kate Bush), The Kinks, David Bowie and Hans Zimmer. His debut 1980 album 'Ashes and Diamonds' was produced by Tony Visconti (David Bowie). Griff followed that with another successful album, 'Figvres' (1982), and returned to NZ in 1984.
After a wait of over 25 years, Zaine's third solo album is finally here - and it's like a time warp back to the best of Bowie in the 80s!
