Regarded by many as the greatest composer of electronic music of all time, Vangelis has written and created many timeless film and television scores as well as a producing numerous successful solo albums.

To commemorate the 2012 Olympics, Rhino release the very best tracks from Vangelis' impressive repertoire. Included here are all of his greatest accomplishments, such as songs from the critically acclaimed soundtrack to Ridley Scott's 1982 film Blade Runner; the multi-platinum score for the film 1492: Conquest of Paradise; and the Oscar winning #1 US Single Chariots of Fire from the film of the same name.

Presented on two discs, 'The Collection' contains all of Vangelis' biggest hits, as well as singles, rare B-sides and a previously unreleased track - "Remembering" - from the artist's unique catalogue.
