Chan Marshall (AKA Cat Power) presents her long-awaited ninth studio album. 'Sun' is the first original material from Cat Power in over six years.
She performed and produced 'Sun' herself in various locations including a studio she built in Malibu.
Marshall performed and produced the album herself following a difficult break up with longtime boyfriend/actor Giovanni Ribisi. "I cut my hair off three days [after the break-up], got on a plane to France, and finished the shit, It's all good, you know. I love the person very much. I actually love this record very much, too. I'm very proud of it".
