Samoan girl group Pacific Soul (Julie Ta'ale, Moapa Lomavita, Sara-Jane Auva-a and Sharleen Leaso) produced a pair of award-winning, best-selling albums in the early 2000s. Their debut self-titled debut album, released in 2002, was the winner of the New Zealand Music Awards 2003 Best Pacific Island Album, and went on to sell in excess of 10,000 copies. Follow up The Collaboration was released in 2003. For this album Pacific Soul were joined with a line up of guests including Lole Usoali'I, Lavina Williams (Ma-v-elle), Jamoa Jam, Brotha D, Neil Saipele (Cydel) and Lilo.
