Coming from a musical family in Texas, Edgar Winter was always one of the United States more interesting musicians. Edgar has, over the course of his career, explored varied musical genres with great panache.
The realms of rock, boogie, jazz, RnB and pop have all been of interest to him and he has produced a string of quality albums in all these styles.
He was in the band White Trash, featured here with his brother Johnny and Rick Derringer and subsequently went solo
With such a healthy catalogue behind him, Sony Records recently decided to release a compilation of his best work.
Edgars profile is currently high as he has recently been touring (in the UK in May).
