First time as a 2 on 1 CD for these 1959 and 1965 LPs, originally released on the Chess record label.
Players on the albums read like a who's who of classic blues legends, including Willie Dixon on bass, Muddy Waters on guitar, Jimmy Rogers on guitar and Otis Spann on piano among many others.

Sonny Boy Williamson was a blues legend who played with Robert Johnson at the start of his career and Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Robbie Robertson at the end of it. In between, he drank a lot of whiskey, had a successful radio show for 15 years, toured Europe to great acclaim and sang some of the greatest blues ever recorded.
