"Alpamayo" is the name of one of the most beautiful snow covered mountains of Ankash (Peru). The group Alpamayo was founded in 1984. By 1985 they had won the first prize in the South American folk festival "Festi 85" with a composition of their own. This album features music from various regions of Peru and Ecuador.
