Steph Casey is a singer-songwriter from Wellington, New Zealand, who picked up a guitar at age eleven and started songwriting as a teenager.
Her songs often sit within the indie-folk/pop stable, yet because of her voice and delivery, at times lead us into country-tinged soul. This is acoustic guitar based, grassroots music, and there is an honesty and integrity to it. You'll find summery upbeat songs alongside stirringly beautiful examinations of the common human experiences of love and loss.
Accompanied on this album by a who's who of Wellington's finest musicians, Casey's album Whisper & Holler, recorded by award winning sound engineer Lee Prebble, is an accomplished debut from a talented singer-songwriter.
