III showcases Skeptic's abrasive and haunting sound, as well as their embracing of early sampling technology. It was their first album recorded following their shift to Wellington, where they began collaborating with guitarist John Halvorson and producer/drummer Brent McLaughlin (both of Gordons, Bailterspace).

Released in 1987, Skeptics III's exploration of electronic and industrial sounds was pioneering for it's time, and still sounds as powerful today. It also features the controversial song AFFCO, the video of which featured graphic footage of an animal slaughterhouse and was banned from New Zealand television.

To celebrate 30-years since the band formed and the recently released documentary, 'Sheen of Gold', Skeptics III has been re-mastered by band member Nick Roughan.

Recorded: Writhe Recording, Wellington, New Zealand, 1987. Engineered and Produced by Brent McLaughlin and the SKEPTICS. Re-Mastered by Nick Roughan, 2013.

Band: Nick Roughan (Backing Vocals, Bass, Sampler), Don White (Drums, Percussion, Sampler), Jon Halvorsen (Guitar), David D'Ath (Vocals, Sampler).
