Laura Cantrell is a country music artist born in Nashville and based in New York City. Cantrell has released four acclaimed albums: "Not The Tremblin' Kind" - called by legendary BBC1 DJ John Peel, "my favorite album of the last ten years and maybe my life"- "When The Roses Bloom Again," "Humming By The Flowered Vine," and "Kitty Wells Dresses: Songs of the Queen of Country Music." Cantrell's previous albums have been profiled in The New York Times, "O" Magazine, Elle, and the Wall Street Journal and on NPR's "All Things Considered," "On Point," and "Weekend Edition." She has performed on "A Prairie Home Companion," "Mountain Stage," and the "Grand Ole Opry," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," and the Sundance Channel's "Spectacle: Elvis Costello." She is currently featured in PBS' "Nashville 2.0: The Rise of Americana" airing on PBS stations in November, and her interview with the "Grand Ladies" of the Grand Ole Opry is running in the current issue of the Oxford American magazine, on stands until March 2014.

"No Way There From Here," is Cantrell's first album of original material in eight years.
Recorded in Nashville with producer Mark Nevers (Lambchop, Charlie Louvin, Will Oldham, Caitlin Rose).
Session musicians include Caitlin Rose, Jim Lauderdale, Kenny Vaughan and members of Lambchop.
