Avey Tare is a prominent member/songwriter to cult alternative group Animal Collective. Following Animal Collective's 2012 album, Centipede Hz and his own 2010 solo album Down There, Avey has combined with Dirty Projectors' vocalist Angel Deradoorian & Dan Deacon/Ponytail drummer Jeremy Hyman to form an indie rock super group, Avey Tare's Slasher Flicks.
Slasher Flicks' debut album, Enter The Slasher House recalls Animal Collective's cherished Merriweather Post Pavilion years - melodic indie pop with memorable choruses.
