Unrepentant Geraldines is Tori Amos' 14th studio album and first album of originals in 5 years. After a series of albums that crossed the boundaries between pop and classical, this album sees Tori return to the brightly melodic singer-songwriter style that catapulted her to stardom over two decades ago.

Fusing themes such as women in society, motherhood and contemporary events, and also drawing inspiration from the work of visual artists, Amos has created a landmark album which demonstrates why she is regarded as one of the most remarkable artists of recent times.

The album title was inspired by a painting of Daniel Maclise, depicting the Irish folk tale character Geraldine in the pose of the repentant Magdalene. This sparked a process of thoughts about women's repentance and their struggles throughout history.

Recorded in the semi-isolation of her studio in Cornwall, England, album highlights include the touching duet "Promise" with her 13-year old daughter Natasha, and the outstanding lead single "Trouble's Lament" inspired by southern blues and classic Johnny Cash storytelling.
