Detroit-born pianist/vocalist Johnny O'Neal has owned the Sunday night slot at Smalls Jazz Club for years. This live set by O'Neal features Paul Sikivie on bass and Charles Goold on drums. It includes classics such as ''The More I See You'' and ''Tea For Two,'' as well as beautiful renditions of ''Where Is The Love / Overjoyed'' (Roberta Flack/Stevie Wonder). O'Neal is a veteran of the New York scene, having worked with jazz greats ranging from Dizzy Gillespie to Nancy Wilson.
