Temporary - Selections from Dunedin's Pop Underground

This compilation of songs by 13 of our favorite young Dunedin bands comes with discography details for each band to assist with further discovery. The past few years have been a remarkable time in Dunedin for music. People talk about the 1980's being Dunedin's golden decade for music, but there's precious metal being formed here right now - as indeed there was in the 1990's and the 2000's.

Five of the 13 bands on the compilation were already associated with Fishrider Records - Opposite Sex, The Shifting Sands, The Prophet Hens, Males and Trick Mammoth. Together with the others, they represent an interconnected sub-part of the current Dunedin music scene - playing shows together and often sharing members with each other.
