And The War Came is the Australian debut for Austin based singer songwriter Shakey Graves (a.k.a Alejandro Rose-Garcia).
Shakey Graves performed Dearly Departed - the first single from the new album - on Conan in October this year, along with Esme Patterson on vocals. The single has already received well over 3 million plays on Spotify since its US release.
Produced by Chris Boosahda and Alejandro Rose-Garcia, And The War Came follows the artist's 2011 self-released debut album, Roll the Bones. While his first album was a solo affair, And The War Came is a collaborative work. Boosahda brought all of his gear to the artist's house and converted the space into a big, open studio. While the signature Shakey Graves set-up provided the starting point, other musicians were invited in, including Esmé Patterson.
