Since 2013, Acre has steadily pumped out this sort of grime/techno hybrids that are smashing the dance floors. He has worked with a few labels but found his way home to release his first full length album through Tectonic, and subsequently this album, Better Strangers, is less club oriented than expected. Infact he seems to of broken down the beats and put his own overly saturated, white noisey twist on them. Acre says, "I wanted to put a lot more emotion into this album" and he explains the reason behind naming the album better strangers by saying "[it] comes from the feeling that some people make better strangers than friends (or better off being strangers) in your life, so the album is about recognizing that."
