John Congleton is a Grammy-winning producer who has worked on albums by St. Vincent, Swans, The War on Drugs, Explosions in the Sky, Bill Callahan, Lower Dens, Angel Olsen, the Mountain Goats, and dozens of others. (He also used to front the band the Paper Chase.)
Until The Horror Goes' rows firmly against the placating currents of popular music. Crafting a genre of his own, Congleton creates a kind of horror-gospel mixing unflinching examinations of modern life with humour, high art with low culture and pop melodies given voice by massive and unexpected orchestration live within wild sounds and atonality.
