Set in Seattle at the height of the 'grunge' phenomenon, Singles captured the slacker attitude of generation X and the soundtrack, released in 1992, helped propel the bands of the Pacific Northwest to the heights of stadium stardom. At a time when the likes of Michael Bolton and Kenny G were topping the charts many of the artists featured on Singles would go on to shape popular culture of the 1990's and still resonate today with new generations of guitar-hungry fans.
Amongst the unreleased material: demos, instrumentals, and live recordings from the likes of Soundgarden's Chris Cornell, The Replacements' Paul Westerberg, Alice in Chains and Mudhoney.
Also included is "Touch Me I'm Dick" by Matt Dillion's fictional band in the film, Citizen Dick, featuring Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder, Stone Gossard, and Jeff Ament. It marks the first commercial release of "Touch Me I'm Dick".
