The most popular blues artist of his generation and Alligator's best-selling artist releases the eagerly-anticipated follow-up to his Grammy-nominated debut, 2019's King!sh, which has scanned over 30,000 units.

Since the release of King!sh, Ingram's career has taken off like a soaring blues riff. The Clarksdale, MS, native hit the road for his !rst national tours, playing 75 dates in packed clubs and theatres, plus festival appearances and opening slots for Vampire Weekend, Jason Isbell and his mentor, Buddy Guy. Only the pandemic could stop him from scheduled tours to Europe and Australia.

He received an avalanche of international press, with reviews and features in the UK (New Music Express, MOJO, Blues Matters, Blues & Rhythm, Blues In Britain), Germany (Blues News, Musikansich, Lust For Life), Benelux (Bluesmagazine.nl, Jazzism, Back To The Roots, Concert Monkey, Blues On Blues), Canada (CBC Radio, Gonzookanagan.com, Maple Blues, Sax & Violins), France (Soul Bag, Rolling Stone, ParisMove, ABS, Bluesagain.com), Australia (Guitar, Guitar World, Rhythms, Australian Musician) Japan (Yahoo News, Blues & Soul) and more.

Ingram features aired on PBS-TV's American Creators series, NPR's All Songs Considered and World Café, and XM/SIRIUS' Bluesville channel. At radio, King!sh dominated the Blues charts for months.

Besides his Grammy nomination, the album earned !ve Blues Music Awards and four Living Blues Awards, including Album Of The Year in both competitions. And Ingram had the honor of being named an NPR Music Slingshot Artist as a breakout artist to watch.

Alligator will be targeting press and social media everywhere for coverage. A special "King!sh Weekend" is in the works at XM/SIRIUS' Bluesville channel to celebrate the new release with Ingram recording song descriptions and introductions. Bluesville has premiered and already added the title track, which is the !rst single.

Tour dates in support of 662 will take place in the U.S. through the end of 2021. Three tours of Europe are planned for 2022: a short run in February to UK, Netherlands, Germany and France, a !ve-week tour in the summer including numerous festival dates, then three to four weeks in late fall/early winter hitting clubs and theatres throughout the continent.

662 (the area code of his Mississippi Delta stomping grounds) is a powerful and personal album, a !ery coming-of-age record. The lyrics re#ect Ingram's newfound maturity and how your roots inspire where you're heading. Musically, the record delivers a heaping helping of the deep, visceral Ingram guitar magic his fans love, fueling a combustible mix of molten blues rock, down home shuf#es and soulful grooves.
