Bird Of The Year 2023 is the debut album from Tāmaki Makaurau 'supergroup' thee GOLDEN GEESE - 11 anthems that are set to become the choice of a new generation.
thee Golden Geese are Matthew Crawley (honking), Dave Taylor (guitar), Gareth Shute (bass, honking) and James Dansey (drums, honking).
The first single from the album, 'Georgie Pie', is set to become Aotearoa's definitive dropout anthem. Says Crawley, 'I really did drop out of school to work at Georgie Pie. I hope this helps the next generation make enormous, ill advised mistakes in their lives too!'.
New single '95bFM Top Ten' is a testament to giving up when things get too hard and realising when it's time to stop trying.
