One of the great jazz and pop singers of the 20th century, Peggy Lee, born Norma Deloris Egstrom, became known for her sultry singing voice. Having co-written hundreds of songs and recorded more than a thousand, Lee didn't confine herself to only music; she was an accomplished actor starring in "The Jazz Singer" (1952), "Pete Kelly's Blues" (1955) for which she received an Academy Award nomination and provided both singing and speaking voices for several characters in Walt Disney's "Lady and the Tramp".
Many of Peggy Lee's earliest hits are included on this wonderful 25 track compilation including "Mañana", "Golden Earrings", "Waitin' for the Train to Come In" and "It's All Over Now".
