I Want to Rock And Roll (Black LP)

Flying Nun Records are very pleased to welcome noir folk artist Jazmine Mary to the whānau! Their album, I Want To Rock And Roll is released on black vinyl LP on June 13, 2025.

"I Want To Rock And Roll" is Jazmine Mary's third album, following on from the critically acclaimed "Dog" (Self-released, 2023) and the award-winning "The Licking of a Tangerine" (Arcade Recordings, 2021). Recorded at Tāmaki Makaurau's Roundhead Studios by De Stevens, the self-produced album features musical contributions from some of Aotearoa's greats including Louisa Nicklin, Cass Basil (Tiny Ruins), Cello Forrester (Womb), Dave Khan (Marlon Williams) and Arahi.

Jazmine Mary was named the winner of the Best Independent Debut at the 2022 Taite Music Awards for their debut album and their critically acclaimed sophomore was named one of New Zealand's Top 25 albums by Rolling Stone Magazine. Preceded by the Student Radio hit single "Memphis", "I want to Rock And Roll" is sure to cement Jazmine Mary as one of this decade's leading lights of the local music scene.
