Formed in 1981 by singer and multi-instrumentalist, Mark Hollis, this exceptional UK "synth-pop" group was also comprised of drummer Lee Harris, Paul Webb on bass, keyboard player Simon Brenner… and later, Tim Friese-Greene on keyboards and production duties.
Talk Talk produced a number of memorable UK hit singles - Today, Talk Talk, It's My Life, Life's What You Make It.
'The Party's Over' was Talk Talk's debut album and was originally released in 1982.
It was indeed a product of its time, defined by contemporary synth-pop sensibilities, but with an honesty and lyrical depth absent from most other records of the moment.
