Mazzy Star's So Tonight That I Might See is their second studio album, released on October 5, 1993. The album features the classic track "Fade Into You".
The album closely follows the style of their previous work, but with equal success. "Wasted" travels steadily along the twelve-bar road, with nuanced, snarling guitar embellishments. "Blue Light" exudes a smoky, blue-eyed (if black-hearted) soul vibe.
One standout is the cover of Arthur Lee's "Five String Serenade", enhanced by lilting cello and tambourine accompaniment. Roback's electric/lysergic guitar explorations and Sandoval's bluesy, lazily erotic vocals create a deeply evocative atmosphere, making So Tonight That I Might See the perfect 2:00am album.
