'Somewhere' is the first album of material from the late Eva Cassidy to be released in five years. It features twelve previously unreleased recordings and includes the only known recorded songs co-written by Eva.

"It was clear that fans of Eva's music wanted a new album but it was important to us that any new record was made up of songs that had not been heard before and that were of a high quality. We are really pleased with the album; it is long overdue"
- Eva's father, Hugh Cassidy

'Somewhere' constantly surprises with its diversity, encompassing soul, jazz, folk and country music genres, as once again Eva Cassidy takes us along her musical journey.

"...Eva Cassidy's ability to turn a well known song into a work of art, her dedication to finding the inner core of a song and versatility in jumping music genres has stood the test of time since her passing. That this album turns up five years since her "last ever album" came as more than a shock, that it surpasses that last disc in quality, sound and performance is even more remarkable."
- Colin Morris, Dominon Post (4 Stars)

Tracks:

1. Coat Of Many Colours - the Dolly Parton song with Eva's acoustic guitar / vocal to the fore.

2. My Love Is Like A Red Red Rose - Acoustic recording of the well-known traditional folk song arranged and sung by Eva.

3. Ain't Doin' Too Bad - Eva really lets rip on this song that has had new backing tracks added to her original "live" at Blues Alley performance.

4. Chain Of Fools - Eva is at her most soulful on this classic Aretha Franklin hit; new horn arrangements and backing vocals from the Tremain sisters.

5. Won't Be Long - the original tapes by Eva and her regular band from 1993 were discovered by Eva's guitarist, Keith Grimes.

6. Walkin' After Midnight - a Texas swing version of the Patsy Cline standard was originally recorded by Eva and her band in 1993.

7. Early One Morning - the popular English folk song originally recorded with her old school friend Rob Cooper in 1987. Rob plays Dobro and Electric lap steel guitar and Eva carries both the lead and backing vocals.

8. A Bold Young Farmer - another old folk song recorded by Eva at her boyfriend, Chris Biondo's studio in 1995. Eva's gorgeous vocals and acoustic guitar are all that is needed.

9. If I Give My Heart - Eva's brother, Dan Cassidy, recently came forward with this duet: Eva carries vocals and guitar and Dan plays a mean fiddle. Recorded at Sudio Stef in Iceland (!!!!!) in 1994.

10. Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain - originally a big hit for Willie Nelson, Eva adds her own vocal magic in this acoustic studio perfomance from 1995.

11. Summertime - Eva Cassidy makes this Gershwin classic her own with a lovely acoustic studio performance.

12. Somewhere - written by Eva and Chris Biondo in 1990 but the studio session was incomplete. Chris finished the track in 2008 in the style that it was originally conceived by Eva and Chris. One of the album's highlights.
