Ben Sidran is an acclaimed jazz musician with more than 30 solo albums in as many years, who has produced albums by Van Morrison, Diana Ross, Mose Allison & Rickie Lee Jones; been nominated for Grammys; wrote the score for the acclaimed documentary 'Hoop Dreams'; has authored several books, including the acclaimed 2003 memoir, 'A Life In Music' and he wrote the lyrics to Steve Miller's massive "Space Cowboy"!
'Dylan Different' is an unusual sort of Bob Dylan tribute album, whereby Sidran adds his musical style, a lifetime of reflection and something of a haunting, mysterious, otherworldly quality to 12 of Dylan's most memorable songs: "Highway 61 Revisited", "Tangled Up In Blue" & "Blowin' In The Wind" among them.
'Dylan Different' features guest appearances from Georgie Fame, Jorge Drexler, Amy Helm (daughter of famed drummer Levon Helm), Bob Malach (Stevie Wonder's band) & Michael Leonhart (of Steely Dan).
