Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol is joined by Troy Stewart, Iain Archer, Richard Colburn (Belle & Sebastian), Garret Jacknife Lee, Peter Buck (R.E.M.) and Scott McCaughey (The Young Fresh Fellows, The Minus 5), M. Ward, Zooey Deschanel (She & Him) and Tom Smith from The Editors.
Tired Pony began life as a doodle in Gary Lightbody's (Snow Patrol) jotter. During idle moments on Snow Patrol's yearlong tour cycle for their last album, 'A Hundred Million Suns', Gary began writing songs for this imaginary band.
Fast forward to January 4th 2010... a cast of characters assembled at Portland's Type Foundry studio to help out; Troy Stewart, Iain Archer, Richard Colburn (Belle & Sebastian), Garret Jacknife Lee, Peter Buck (R.E.M.) and Scott McCaughey (The Young Fresh Fellows, The Minus 5).
'The Place We Ran From' also features guest contributors M. Ward and his She & Him partner Zooey Deschanel and Tom Smith from The Editors.
