Comedy legend Ronnie Barker becomes a man of a thousand faces, demonstrating his versatility in six hilarious tales, each from a different historical period. Written by some of Britain's best-loved talent (John Cleese, Spike Milligan plus others), the folk of Victorian London are terrorised by the Phantom Raspberry Blower; an odd job man is given a odd job; and when comedy becomes a religion, you could die... for not laughing!

1. 1937: The Removals Person
Whilst a home owner watches the Coronation, Fred, a short-sighted removals man causes havoc.

2. 1899: The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town
Londoners become terrorised by a mysterious Jack the Ripper figure who blows raspberries at his victims.

3. 1970: The Odd Job

4. 1915: Lola

5. 1971: Come In and Lie Down
Psychiatrist Dr. Swanton must deal with a terrified patient who poses as a gasman to avoid being labeled a loony.

6. 2774 AD: All the World's a Stooge
It's the future, and jokes have become a mandatory for living - taking the place of religion. If you don't join in, you could die for not laughing.
