Chic was formed in the late seventies by Nile Rodgers and the late Bernard Edwards. They dominated the disco era with huge hit singles and albums on both sides of the Atlantic. In addition Rodgers worked as a songwriter and producer for the likes of Sister Sledge ("We Are Family"), Diana Ross ("I'm Coming Out"), David Bowie ("Let's Dance"), Madonna ("Like A Virgin") and many more. In the nineties the band reunited up until the sad death of Bernard Edwards in 1996, since when Nile Rodgers has continued to give audiences around the world "good times".
